ACROSS Anglican and Catholic Community Social Service -

ACROSS is an Anglican, Catholic and Community Support service providing social work, counselling and foster care services to families. ACROSS Te Kotahitanga O te Wairua, is a social service provider which focuses predominantly on work with children and families. Its vision and mission statement clearly reflects its Christian tradition.  ACROSS Goals are to respond to social need by: Supporting Parents Supporting Individuals Meeting the needs of children Assisting Families


Anglican Care Network - Newsletter 1: 2010

As part of the wider Anglican Family, is a Network of Agencies, Parishes and Diocesan Social Services. Seeks to serve people with love and justice in hearts and minds to build stronger communities. Aims to link service and justice issues together in a way which is poignant and undeniably relevant.


Drug proofing your kids -

DPYK educates parents, and other carers, about drugs and gives them the information and skills they need to help their children make informed choices. "Parent power is the most effective and underutilised weapon in the battle against substance abuse."


Faith Community Nursing -

The New Zealand Faith Community Nurses Association Inc. is the national organisation for nurses working within a Christian faith community.


Focus On The Family -

Focus on the Family New Zealand is a charitable organisation which has been serving families in New Zealand through Dr. James Dobson's radio programmes and books since the early 1980's.


Hospital Chaplaincy -

Hospital Chaplains provide much needed support for patients, relatives and hospital staff. We are there to listen, encourage and comfort anyone of any faith or no faith. We respect a person’s beliefs and affirm their culture.


Leprosy Mission -

The Leprosy Mission New Zealand - Te Mihana Tuwhenua o Aotearoa is a Christian development organisation whose main goal is to eradicate the causes and consequences of leprosy.

Mission to Seafarers -

The Mission to Seafarers (often called The Flying Angel) is a world mission agency of the Anglican Church. We care for the practical and spiritual welfare of seafarers of all nationalities and faiths. As a global network of full-time and part-time chaplains, staff and volunteers in some 300 ports, we visit seafarers on their ships and give help and support in time of crisis, bereavement or in cases of injustice.


Mothers of Pre-schoolers -

MOPS is .... for all mothers of preschoolers - including pregnant mums-to-be. We want to meet the needs of every mother of little children. At MOPS we believe that what you do as a mother really does matter and you make a huge difference in your child’s life.


Mums In Touch -

Mums In Touch International is two or more mums who meet for one hour each week to release God's power on their children and schools through prayer.


NZ Council of Christian Social Services -

Every day of the week the members of NZCCSS - the Anglican Care Network, Baptist Churches of Aotearoa-New Zealand, Catholic Social Services, Presbyterian Support Services Inc., the Methodist Church and the Salvation Army - provide essential services through collectively serving and working in communities throughout Aotearoa-New Zealand. In it's work NZCCSS is supported by member churches and their leaders.


Order of St Luke Healing Ministry -

OSL is an organisation dedicated to the Christian healing ministry. Members meet together in local chapters to study Scripture, especially the New Testament stories of the healing miracles of Jesus, as well as other books on Christian healing. Healing ministry is practiced with teaching and healing prayer, often with the laying on of hands, and healing seminars are conducted.


Overcoming Violence -

The Decade to Overcome Violence is a process shaped by the initiatives of the churches. The role of WCC for the Decade is to accompany and encourage the work of the churches in their efforts toward overcoming violence.


Parents Inc (formerly Parenting with Confidence) -

Our vision is simple – “to positively impact every family”. Our hope is that this will become a reality for you as you experience what Parents Inc. has to offer. Great families build great communities which in turn build a great country to live in!


Social Justice Commission of Anglican Church -

The Anglican Social Justice Commissioner’s role is supported by the Commission, and seeks to nurture justice spirituality and imagination in the life of the church, and engage in advocacy. He works to ‘restore the balance’ of engagement between the centre and the flaxroots.

TEAR Fund -

The purpose of TEAR Fund is to glorify God by extending his kingdom in ministry to the poor, oppressed and disadvantaged, and to encourage God's people in New Zealand to live out the values and principles of his kingdom, by sharing with those in need.

Wellington City Mission -

The Wellington City Mission helps turn lives around.Many of the people we know have less. Less money. Less self-esteem. Less stability. Less good-health. At the Wellington City Mission, we believe they deserve more than that. We want to help turn their lives around.


World Vision -

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organisation dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome extreme poverty and injustice. Motivated by our faith in Jesus Christ, we serve alongside the poor and oppressed as a demonstration of God's unconditional love for all people. World Vision serves all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender.


Youth TEAR Fund -

Tearfund’s youth and student team is passionate about empowering radical disciples to raise their voices and make radical choices to benefit people in poverty. We work with young people, students and youth leaders, journeying to encounter more of God’s heart for people affected by poverty and injustice, discovering how we can respond with our whole lives.
