Rangitikei Parish which includes St George's is a large rural parish situated south of Mt Ruapehu and west of the Rangitikei River.

St George's is a small country church, built in 1882/83, located at the northern end of the village of Turakina which is 21kms south of Wanganui.

There is a monthly service on the fourth Sunday at 10.00am.
