Rangitikei Parish which includes St Andrew's is a large rural parish situated south of Mt Ruapehu and west of the Rangitikei River.

St Andrews Church is located on the right hand side of Bridge St (State Highway 3) as you travel north  towards Wanganui.  This is approximately 600 metres from the major intersection with State Highway 1.  The church was built in 1881 for a cost of 388 pounds by Mr J. Bull, the local builder. The building is of Totara timber, simple in design, but attractive.

Services are held at 9.30am on the first, second and third Sundays.

There is an active Ladies Guild and annual events include a Rose Show, Spring luncheon and Book Fair.
