This is mixed city and rural parish in a medium sized NZ city, with a mainly older congregation that is trying to grow and reinvent itself.

We have two worship centres in the city of Wanganui – All Saints and St Barnabas; and two essentially rural churches in St Mary’s situated beside the Wanganui River at Upokongaro about 15 km north of the city, and St John’s on top of the ridge out towards Fordell.

We are an energetic parish, spread somewhat thinly, that is trying to grow our numbers both in obedience to Christ’s command to go and make disciples and to reduce the load on already busy faithful individuals.
