Tawa
St Peters

Tawa is the northern most suburb of Wellington City. The Anglican Church has been a part of Tawa since its settlement in the late 1800's when there where two very distinct communities; Tawa in the south and Linden in the north. The first church building was erected on land granted to the church by E G Wakefield, who started The New Zealand Company that was responsible for settlement in the Wellington area.

Tawa-Linden Anglican Church is a friendly family church built on a strong Evangelical/Charismatic foundation.  We offer lively modern worship, traditional Anglican services, home-based small groups and a range of community activities.  We warmly invite you to explore what is happening and look forward to meeting you!

 

Weekly Services

Sunday
8.30am  A traditional Anglican communion service (NZ Prayer Book) at St Peter's, Linden (cnr of Hinau Street and Collins Avenue)
10.00am  A Contemporary worship Service with Communion and Children's Church at St Christopher's, Tawa (cnr Main Road and Lyndhurst Road) 
Children's church is active during term time. During the School holidays children's activity packs are available and a gospel video shown as an option during the sermon time at the 10am service. 
   
Wednesday   
10.00am  Worship, Bible Study and Communion Service in a small group context (St Peter's Church Cnr Hinau St and Collins Ave) 
   
Thursday   
11.20am  Short, Simple Anglican Communion Service at the Chapel at Longview Rest Home 14 Sunrise Boulevard, Tawa
