St Philips is a Christian Community offering love and support to all.

 

Service Times

Sunday Worship

10am   Eucharist with music in the church building;

Sonday Club  Children's programme during 10am service – children come back to church building for Communion

There is morning tea to follow.

What's happening at other times ….
We have an Opp Shop which opens on Tuesday & Thursday mornings from 10.30 - 12.30pm

1pm 1st,2nd,3rd, Thursdays at Stokeswood Resthome – singing and Communion
We also connect with our local retirement home - Stokeswood - by taking a weekly Communion service there and offering other areas of support as required.

We have a number of children's activities ranging from:
  • Totz 'n Tune - a pre school music group on a Thursday morning 10am 
  • Jesus Club - an after school group on Fridays 3pm for primary school age children.
  • Youth Group – Awesomeos Church Club [ACC] Friday 5.30 – 7.30
  • Maori Culture Youth Group Sunday 5pm – learning kapa haka & waiata

Small Dog Playgroup Sunday 2.30pm all small dogs and owners welcome

We offer 'Christianity Explored' and 'Discipleship Explored' for those who want to know more about the Christian faith.

We have contact with the local school - Tui Glen - through individuals helping with reading and with Bible in Schools as well as their Chairperson on School Board.


Mid week worship

1pm     Wednesday      Book of Common Prayer Holy Communion [approx 30 min]

1.30                                  Bible Study Group [approx 1 hour]

  • Maths4munchkins - 10am on Wednesdays - a time to explore maths concepts with your preschooler – morning tea and social time.
    In recess for Term 2.
