Diocesan Overseas Mission Group (DOMG) The DOMG works closely with the AMB to ensure that a high profile is always maintained concerning the issues and needs of overseas mission outreach projects. Also, the DOMG regularly communicates with ministry units across the Diocese via letters and emails, and through its publication of "Mission News". Another vitally important focus for the DOMG is to encourage all ministry units to be steadfast in prayer and financial giving for the overseas mission work of the church. Financial targets for mission giving, set annually by Synod, are closely monitored and ministry units are kept informed of progress. Other initiatives undertaken include the organisation and/or oversight of Mission Motivators' training days, and of deputation visits by Mission partners. The requests received for help from the church overseas are very great indeed. The DOMG always seeks to encourage churches at grass roots level throughout the Diocese, so that more and more people will catch the vision and become inspired to support the important work of overseas missions.
