St Mary’s is a ‘families-oriented’ church. Worship tends towards the informal and strives to be inclusive of all who attend.

St Mary’s is a community focused parish giving strong support to Prison Ministries and Habitat for Humanity

Service Times

Sunday 9.30am: St Mary’s Informal Worship & Communion (alternate weeks);

Friday 11am: Glenbrook Home Lounge Communion.

The Mission District was established in the 1980’s as Whitby grew larger, having been part of Pauatahanui Parish. The current St Mary’s was opened and dedicated in 2001 and consecrated in 2005. Lay participation and leadership is strongly encouraged in worship and in ministry in general. Children and younger youth ministries are offered. The church also offers some chaplaincy to the newly established Marsden Whitby College.
