Te Hopai Sunday

Update: 15 August 2013

Bishop Justin @ Te Hopai Sunday

"A beautiful and humbling experience" is how Bishop Justin described his involvement in a Sunday service for the residents and patients at Te Hopai Rest Home and Hospital on Sunday 4 August.

The monthly services, involving a simple sung Eucharist, are a key feature of the outreach programme of St Mark's Church, Basin Reserve, Wellington. Around 25 aged and infirm folk usually attend the services to receive Communion or simply receive prayer and a blessing. Bishop Justin said it's a very valuable mission to which St Mark's is committed. Te Hopai is at the end of Hospital Road, behind Wellington Hospital in Newtown.
