Shareable and Other Trust Funds Available - Applications for all the Trusts close on 30 June each year 

Shareable Trust Funds - applications close 30 June each year 

The income from a number of Trusts available in this Diocese is shareable with Te Hui Amorangi Kite Upoko o te Ika. An Allocation Committee comprising equal numbers appointed by Tikanga Pakeha and Tikanga Maori meet when required to consider applications, and to agree on the distribution of the income from the shareable trusts.

The Trusts are as follows:


Fancourt Memorial Trust – Applications close on 30 June each year  
Purpose: for the benefit of clergy dependants, and for the training and maintaining of clergy candidates 
Those eligible:     one of the following:
 • Clergy dependants including widows when assistance is not available from any other source 
 • Clergy training for service in the Diocese of Wellington 
   
Richard and Mabel Fitzsimmons Scholarship Fund – Applications close on 30 June each year 
Purpose:   for secondary or tertiary education 
Those eligible: daughters of Priests and Deacons who hold a licence from the Bishop of Wellington 
   
R C Reed Endowment – Applications close on 30 June each year
Purpose:  for financial assistance 
Those eligible: for work amongst elderly women, e.g., projects or programmes 
   
Daniel Sanders Trust – Applications close on 30 June each year 
Purpose: for the augmentation of stipends in rural areas 
Those eligible: rural Parishes who are restructuring into more workable units 
   
H T Stealey Bequest – Applications close on 30 June each year 
Purpose:   to employ locum tenens in Parishes 
Those eligible: Parishes during the illness or convalescence of the Vicar or Priest in Charge 
   
Caroline Uren Bequest – Applications close on 30 June each year 
Purpose: for the relief of the aged or sick (see page 132 of the 2011 Year Book Part Two for more details)
Those eligible: elderly Parishioners who would benefit from financial assistance to cover fares for hospital visits, shopping  or similar chores

The Trusts are as follows:


Gwyn and Kelvin Day Charitable Trust (est. In 1993) – Applications close on 30 June each year 
Purpose: for assistance to attend an Anglican Independent Secondary School within the Diocese of Wellington
Those eligible:  children of Anglican clergy 
   
Stewart Family Fund – Mortgage Interest Subsidy Available to Clergy – Applications close on 30 June each year 
Purpose:  as well as continuing to make mortgage finance available, funds are also available from the Stewart Trust  to assist with the payment of mortgage interest on realty held for occupation on retirement or already  occupied in retirement 
Those eligible: the clergy of the Diocese – whether serving, retired or the widows/widowers of clergy
